Kundalini Yoga as Taught by Yogi Bhajanis a form of yoga that uses a combination of postures (asana), breathing (pranayam), eye focus (drishte), hand positions (mudras), and meditation to strengthen the body, uplift the spirit and elevate the mind. Kundalini Yoga is taught in Kriyas, which are sequences of exercises practiced in a specific order for a pre-determined amount of time. Because Kundalini Yoga doesn’t use many of the postures that are common in Hatha forms of yoga, it’s frequently more accessible to people with less flexibility or mobility restrictions. In this module of the Spiritually Fly Advanced Program Teacher Training, you’ll have the opportunity to unlock some of the secrets of Kundalini Yoga as Taught by Yogi Bhajan. The weekend will cover topics including: (1) The history and philosophy of Kundalini Yoga; (2) How does Kundalini Yoga work? Understanding the chakras, 10 Bodies, meridians, and physiology of the body; (3) The power of sound: The meaning and pronunciation of key mantras; (4) The alchemy of the practice: Learning specific benefits of postures, kriyas, meditations and other elements; and (5) How to incorporate Kundalini Yoga into your practice and teaching.
