i don't want to rent the space, I want to teach for Embrace.

If you want to teach for Embrace and offer a weekly class, series or workshop, that means you wish to partner with us. This partnership makes you an Embrace instructor or guest instructor (depending in the number of sessions you teach). Depending on the type of class/workshop, you will be paid a percentage of each person that attends your class. Embrace will handle the payments, and advertise the class as the host (website, blast, flyer, social media, etc.). We will also include your name, photo and bio on our website. In return, we expect you to promote your class/workshop via word-of-mouth, social media, eblast, or any other form of marketing your desire, and of course TEACH an awesome class:) 

how much does it cost to rent the space to teach a yoga class?

You have a few option:

(1)  We rent time slots for regular weekly classes. A 3-month rental is required is you wish to teach a weekly class. This includes 60 -75 minute classes (Primetime & Non-Primetime hours). 

“Primetime Classes” are defined as any class between the hours of 8:30 AM to 10:00 AM or 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM weekdays (Monday through Friday) and any class ALL DAY weekends (Saturday & Sunday).

“Non-Primetime Classes” are defined as any class prior to 8:30 AM or between the hours of 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

(2) You can also do a one-time rental for classes, workshops & trainings.

cancellation policy

Refund/Reschedule Policy: Bookings are non-refundable, non-transferrable and must be booked upon purchase. You have 48 hours to reschedule your reservation. Cancellations received less than 48 hours in advance will not be rescheduled. There are no refunds.

how do I get into the studio?

Teachers will be notified and provided with the contact info of their assigned studio karmi (volunteer). We suggest you communicate with them directly. Karmis do not sign-in students. They are there to let you in the space, make sure the space is clean, and answer general questions about the space. If you are renting during off peak hours a karmi will not be provided. In exchange for their services, we request they attend class only if there’s comfortable space for their mat. Also, we ask that you also provide karmis with discounts to workshops or special events.

how many people can comfortably fit in the studio?

Up to 26 people can fit comfortably with mats in the studio space. 1-3 more mats can be added, but that’s super tight.

will my class or workshop be featured on your site?

We will advertise your class on our website as part of your package (this does not include social media). In order for this to happen within 72 hours of bookings a time slot, we ask that you send us a picture representing your class or workshop, class description, and a link to your website or booking info.

If you wish to have us promote you event via our email list and social media platform, an additional fee of $75/month can be added to your fee. This includes 2 eblast and 2 post on each social media platforms. 

do you offer work/trade or karmi positions?

We understand it can be hard cultivating a following or working full-time as a yoga teacher. We only barter in exchange for off peak hours. This is limited to 1 hour per week, and there are only 2 slots available each week. You can only utilize the space twice in a 6 month period.  We definitely need help with the following, social marketing, promo material, front desk, and studio cleaning.  You can contact us at yoga@embracedc.com.
